Sunday, 4th October 2009.

Shah Alam, Selangor: At about 9 in the morning, five youngsters-Budiman Abdul Wahab, 25, Wee Tiem Wah, 19, Yap Jowen, 16, Wee Shi Yan, 16, Tong Yung Chien, 16-were on a journey around Bukit Cherakah, Shah Alam yesterday. They had planned, besides to check out the campsite, but also to make the entrance fee-RM3-worth paying.

They took a bus from the ticket counter to 'Taman Haiwan' and from there they started their journey on foot. First, they-four of them were wearing black collar shirt, few were wearing jeans, few were wearing flip flops-walked to 'Camar Rimba' the campsite. After that, they decided to take a path where they'd never taken before to find that they were actually going a big round back to where the bus had stopped them earlier.

Later, they came upon a sign board, showing directions to different places and they decided to go for 'Empangan Sungai Baru' which is 3.8 km away. Despite their tiredness, they walked for another 1 to 2 km. Halfway throught, they came upon another sign board and they changed their course to 'Empangan Air Kuning' which is much nearer. Up and down the hill they went and when they almost reach their destination, they found out that there is a much shorter route to reach the empangan. Cursing at their stupidity, they hiked down the hill to reach the empangan. Few minutes of rest later, they hiked back up the hill and head for the nearest bus stop.

Budiman, 25 had said, "I'm cursing the guy who built this place" during the journey while Yung Chien, 16 had said, "The one thing I regretted is not wearing sport shoes." Shi Yan, 16 also cursed at their own stupidity.

They finally got some rest at the bus stop while waiting for a bus to fetch them back to the ticket booth. At about one o' clock in the afternoon, they had reached their car and were driving through Federal back to SS14, Subang Jaya. Budiman added after the trip that they are not going to do such stupid things again.-Reported by Yung Chien, yeah one of the five friends.
